“Meeting the Needs of Readers:

The Rubrication of BL MS Cotton Galba E ix”

Mollie Madden’s presentation considers the physical layout and organization of this 15th century manuscript and how the rubrication reflects a scribal recognition of a reader’s needs.  The manuscript is an eclectic collection, containing both the widely persevered Pricke of Conscience and the only extant copy of the poems of Laurence Minot, along with other chivalric, moralizing and prophetic works.

All are welcome, and food & beverages will be provided.

We hope to see you there!
